Brian Windhorst reported that an anonymous West coach believes that Wembanyama’s 8-foot wingspan can erase Gilgeous-Alexander’s favorite late-game weapons. He said Victor can contest SGA’s elbow jumper and still recover to the rim, while staying far enough back to avoid foul-bait contact. In the coach’s words, Shai “has got the answers to the test,” but Wemby “breaks all the rules.”
