Phil Regan Dies at 89 After Seven Decades in Baseball
"Longtime pitching coach Phil Regan, whose career in baseball spanned seven decades, died today," his attorney Matt Blit told ESPN, per Jeff Passan. Regan was 89 and managed the Orioles for one year while coaching the Mariners, Cubs, Indians and Mets. Known as The Vulture, he pitched 13 seasons, throwing BP for the Mets on his 80th birthday.
