Rams Sign First-Round Pick Ty Simpson to Rookie Contract

The Los Angeles Rams have agreed to a four-year rookie contract with first-round quarterback Ty Simpson, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The No. 13 overall pick will earn a fully guaranteed $25.4 million deal with a fifth-year team option. Simpson is expected to compete with Stetson Bennett for the backup role behind Matthew Stafford.
