Report: Travis Johansen Gets a 3-Year Deal After Landing Rutgers DC Job

South Dakota head coach Travis Johansen is set to become Rutgers’ defensive coordinator, per Pete Thamel. Johansen led a Top 5 defense in 2024 before being promoted to head coach. He informed his team he’s leaving for Rutgers and has agreed to a three-year deal, expected to be finalized shortly, marking a major move for the Scarlet Knights’ staff.
