Fisk Basketball Player Killed in Interstate Shooting

Police said Bell and friends left a gymnastics event before entering the interstate in a white Nissan Sentra. A dark sedan pulled alongside them and gunfire erupted, striking Bell. The Sentra spun into traffic and hit a pickup truck. Bell was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center but died from a gunshot wound to the head. The homicide unit is investigating.
