Shohei Ohtani Named NL All-Star Starter at DH, Tops Overall Voting List for First Time

Ohtani was elected as the NL's starting designated hitter after leading the Majors with 3,341,257 votes after Phase 1 of voting. This will be the sixth-straight All-Star appearance for Ohtani. Dave Roberts will lead the NL squad, with six other Dodgers players advancing to Phase 2: Will Smith, Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, Mookie Betts, Andy Pages, and Teoscar Hernandez.
