South Korea Claim First World Cup Opening Win Since 2010

South Korea staged a comeback to beat Czech Republic 2-1 in their 2026 World Cup opener. They have won their opening FIFA World Cup match for the FIRST time since 2010. Oh netted the 80th minute winner after Hwang equalized in the 67th. The Taeguk Warriors last achieved this feat with a victory over Greece at the 2010 tournament.
