Tigers Sign Framber Valdez for $109.7M Deal With Opt-Out

Valdez agreed with Detroit on a three-year, $109.7M deal for 2026-28. It includes a $20M signing bonus, deferred without interest, plus $17.5M in 2026, $37.5M in 2027, and $35M in 2028. Valdez can opt out after 2027. A 2029 mutual option is $40M or a $5M buyout, with award escalators. Detroit adds a front-end lefty with flexibility.
