Two Fans Are Being Paid $50,000 to Watch the FIFA World Cup From a Cube in Times Square

Austin Franklin and Kevin Akoto were selected from more than 6,000 applicants to watch all 104 World Cup games from a specially built cube in Times Square. The pair will earn $50,000 each for the five-and-a-half-week assignment as fans gather outside to watch them follow the tournament. The stunt turns World Cup viewing into a public attraction in New York.
