Yamamoto’s Opening Day outing ended in the seventh after six strong innings against Arizona. He allowed two runs on five hits, struck out six and walked none, with Geraldo Perdomo’s two-run homer the lone damage. After Dave Roberts turned to Blake Treinen, the reliever escaped the frame by retiring Gabriel Moreno, Carlos Santana and Jordan Lawler around Nolan Arenado’s single.

Andy Pages Flips Dodgers-Diamondbacks Game With Three-Run Shot
After Arizona grabbed a 2-0 lead, the Dodgers answered fast in the fifth. Max Muncy opened with a single, Teoscar Hernandez hustled out an infield hit, and Pages crushed a 1-2 knuckle-curve from Zac Gallen into the left-center seats. The three-run homer turned the game around instantly, giving Los Angeles its first lead at 3-2 in Chavez Ravine.
