Yoshinobu Yamamoto Strands Trouble as Dodgers, Zac Gallen Trade Zeros
Yamamoto worked through his toughest jam in the third, escaping after Jordan Lawler doubled and Tim Tawa reached with one out. Freddie Freeman then started an inning-ending double play on Ketel Marte’s liner. In the bottom half, Shohei Ohtani nearly broke through with a deep drive to left-center, but Arizona’s Zac Gallen stayed scoreless through three despite early traffic.

Geraldo Perdomo Breaks Through as Diamondbacks Finally Crack Yoshinobu Yamamoto
Arizona struck first in the fourth when Corbin Carroll singled and Perdomo drove Yamamoto deep to right for a two-run homer. The blast gave the Diamondbacks a 2-0 lead after three scoreless innings on both sides. Yamamoto limited further damage by striking out Gabriel Moreno and Nolan Arenado before retiring Carlos Santana on a fly ball.

Andy Pages Flips Dodgers-Diamondbacks Game With Three-Run Shot
After Arizona grabbed a 2-0 lead, the Dodgers answered fast in the fifth. Max Muncy opened with a single, Teoscar Hernandez hustled out an infield hit, and Pages crushed a 1-2 knuckle-curve from Zac Gallen into the left-center seats. The three-run homer turned the game around instantly, giving Los Angeles its first lead at 3-2 in Chavez Ravine.
