Mathurin said that he's had the opportunity to show his competitiveness with the Pacers, going to the NBA Finals. "I just feel like I kind of get a chance to do it even more over here" Mathurin said. Van Gundy says the NBA has to remove any incentive for losing to prevent tanking from happening. "Get rid of the draft. You still have the salary cap, if you want to go give Cooper Flagg $45 million a year coming out of college, do it," he said. Van Gundy emphasized that without a draft, there's no incentive to lose.
