Nick Kurtz Leaves Tigers Game With Illness

Kurtz was removed from Wednesday’s game vs the Tigers with an illness, easing fears of a hand injury after he appeared to jam it on an errant throw. He was replaced at first by Jeff McNeil in the second. The 23-year-old on-base machine is listed day-to-day but still slated to start the AL All-Star Game at first.
