Porter Hodge and Jordan Wicks Set for Injured List Blow at Cubs Camp
Craig Counsell said Hodge and Wicks will likely open the season on the 15-day injured list with arm issues. Hodge has a right flexor strain and will be shut down for two weeks. Wicks is dealing with radial nerve irritation in his left forearm. Their setbacks weaken the Cubs' bullpen and rotation depth ahead of Opening Day.

Soto homered and went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBIs, two walks, a strikeout and a stolen base as the Dominican Republic routed the Netherlands 12–1 under the WBC seven-inning mercy rule. The blast capped a six-run fifth that blew the game open and capped a dominant offensive showing for the hosts. DR will play against Israel on Monday.
